Influencer Tiffany Fong claimed that Elon Musk asked her to give birth to his child. Buterin called the prediction on her pregnancy “tasteless.”

Tabloid sites are full of speculation over the latest woman Elon Musk allegedly asked to bear his child. However, when Polymarket approved a bet on her potential pregnancy on April 17, the betting platform drew criticism from Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin.

fwiw I personally think this is tasteless and violation of a person’s privacy and dignity

    — vitalik.eth (@VitalikButerin) April 16, 2025

Polymarket used an AI-generated image of Fong pregnant, in front of the White House, referencing Elon Musk’s role in the current administration.

“fwiw I personally think this is tasteless and violation of a person’s privacy and dignity,” Buterin said about the Polymarket bet.

Speculation about her alleged pregnancy started after a WSJ report alleged that the tech billionaire asked influencer Tiffany Font to have his child. This proposition came after months of communication, both on Twitter and in DMs.

Fong refused, leading to Musk unfollowing her on Twitter. Her lucrative revenue-sharing deal with the platform also reportedly dried up. She later confided in Ashley St. Clair, a woman who had a child with Musk, Romulus, and who is now in a legal battle with the billionaire.

    Who is Tiffany Fong?

Tiffany Fong calls herself a “reluctant crypto journalist,” having risen to prominence after publishing her conversations with then-FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried. The interviews were later cited in the Department of Justice’s indictment against Bankman-Fried and FTX.

Even at the time, social media users were speculating and joking about her alleged relationships with Bankman-Fried, Musk, and even Buterin. In January 2024, she played into the joke, asking users to stop posting about her and Buterin—sharing a photo of Buterin with an unidentified woman.

Polymarket is an online prediction betting platform, known for not shying away from controversial bets. The company recently took criticism for facilitating bets on global conflicts. Some of the latest instances were bets on whether or not Israel would invade Syria, or how long the LA wildfires would last.
